This page covers the getdmn.com website and the launch email list. The DMN app runs on your own computer, and what it keeps there is on the About page.
Who is responsible
Gelin Software, a sole proprietorship in Norway (org. no. 938 590 710), is responsible for the personal data described here. Questions and requests go to support@getdmn.com.
Visiting the website
- We set no cookies, and the site runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- Every page loads its fonts, images and code from getdmn.com itself, so a visit sends nothing to other companies.
- If you pick a colour theme, the pick is saved in your own browser and never sent to us.
- Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare handles your IP address and the usual details of each request: the page asked for, your browser and the time. We keep no request logs of our own and see only Cloudflare's totals, such as requests per day.
- If Cloudflare has to check that a visitor isn't a bot, it may set a short-lived security cookie for that.
The launch email list
If you ask to be emailed when DMN is out, we keep:
- your email address;
- the system you picked (Windows, macOS or Linux);
- which form on the site you used, and the page it was on;
- your IP address and the country it points to, which Buttondown records with each sign-up and uses to stop spam sign-ups;
- when you signed up and when you confirmed.
We use it for one thing: the email that tells you DMN is out for your system. You join only once you click the link in the confirmation email, and you can leave with the unsubscribe link in any email from us or by writing to us. We rely on your consent for this (GDPR article 6(1)(a)), and you can withdraw it at any time.
Buttondown, LLC runs the list for us as our data processor, under a data processing agreement. Buttondown is based in the United States and stores the list there, on Amazon Web Services. That agreement covers the transfer with the EU's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- If you don't confirm, your address is deleted after 30 days.
- Once the launch email for your system has gone out, we delete your address.
- If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we do that sooner.
Writing to us
Cloudflare forwards mail sent to support@getdmn.com to our email provider. We keep it as long as we need to answer you and follow up.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a common format. You can also object to how we use it. Write to support@getdmn.com and we'll answer within a month.
If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, at datatilsynet.no.
Changes
When this changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
